It is not uncommon for many children in Haiti to eat once a day…and that is if they are lucky. Many children leave for school at 7AM, and will not eat a single meal until 5PM that night. Far too many children suffer from malnutrition and starvation.

Waves of Mercy serves a nutritious meal to nearly 150 children every day through their nutritional program. Children from around the community come with a bowl or dish, and sit and learn verses from the Bible before they receive their meal. It is through the work of Waves of Mercy that hundreds of children are fed in Port-de-Paix every single day.
